Ellen DeGeneres hates to disappoint Eric Trump, but promises she’s not in the #Deep State

Yesterday, Trump’s son Eric had some concerns about Twitter’s follower recommendations, when the social media platform suggested he follow Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Ellen DeGeneres. It didn’t sit well with him and he called the whole thing #DeepState. 

On Wednesday’s The Ellen Show, the host said she had a hard time believing why her name was trending. 

“I saw that movie where the lady has sex with the fish, and this beats that,” Ellen said, referring to The Shape of Water.

She said she had never heard of the Deep State conspiracy theory, which presumes an entrenched government bureaucracy is working together to destabilize Trump. However, she said she’s just too busy with her Illuminati brunches with Beyoncé and trying to have a baby with her wife Portia de Rossi to be wrapped up in such things. Read more…
