Ethan Hawke’s story about his co-star dying on stage is surprisingly uplifting

Don’t worry — this one has a happy ending.

Actor Ethan Hawke appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday and told a pretty incredible story about the time his broadway co-star Richard Easton had a heart attack and technically died while on stage — before eventually returning to act in the play again.

“They started his heart again,” says Hawke in the clip. “11 minutes later or something.”

Easton was rushed to hospital on the night, but then a couple of days later he called up Hawke and asked him to come in and run lines. Now that’s dedication. Read more…
