HQ Trivia competitor booted from the Google Play Store

HQ Trivia is not messing around when it comes to its competition.

The trivia app filed a trademark complaint with Google against competing app The Q. That resulted in The Q’s Android app being removed from the Google Play Store Wednesday, according to The Q’s founder.

The Q, which launched last month, is a live trivia show with a format very similar to HQ. Viewers answer questions read by a host for a chance to win a chunk of a cash prize (though The Q’s pots tend to be far smaller than HQ’s). Read more…
