Instagram surprises everyone with Stories feature not stolen from Snapchat

Instagram knows you like posts. But Instagram also knows you like Stories. And so, to capitalize on this unique insight, the Facebook-owned social media platform just put posts in your Stories so you can post while you Story.

Essentially, the update allows users to take a post from their Instagram feed and embed it directly into one of their stories. The new feature is truly a revolution — all the more so because it wasn’t lifted whole cloth from Snapchat.
