Instagram will tell you when you’re ‘caught up’ so you know when to stop scrolling

Instagram really wants you to like its algorithm.

So much so that the company is now rolling out a feature to let you know when “you’re all caught up” on new posts from the last two days. 

The message, which Instagram has been testing for a few weeks, will now appear to everyone after they’ve viewed all the news posts in their feeds from the last two days. 

“We’ve heard that it can be difficult to keep track of your seen posts,” the company writes in its announcement. “With this message, you’ll have a better understanding of your Feed and know you haven’t missed recent photos or videos.” Read more…
