It took more than 39K bricks to build this Lego version of the royal wedding

You might not give two hoots about the impending royal nuptials, but here’s a wedding you jolly well will care about: The Lego royal wedding. 

The folks at Legoland Windsor used 39,960 Lego bricks to build a miniature version of the royal wedding just days before the IRL event takes place.

It took 11 model makers a whopping 592 hours to build the replica of Windsor Castle, which happens to be just down the road from Legoland Windsor. The spectacle also features a teeny Ascot Landau carriage, made using 1,500 bricks. The carriage can be seen making its way down the mini Long Walk, which features two horses made from 200 bricks.  Read more…
