Judge sentences man to send 144 compliments after he sent 144 ‘nasty’ messages to ex

A Hawaii man got his comeuppance for sending more than 100 mean texts to his ex-girlfriend.

Last week, Daren Young, 30, was ordered to send his ex 144 compliments after he texted and called her 144 times, violating a court-ordered protection issued in February blocking contact between the two. The judge called his onslaught of messages “nasty,” according to the Maui News.

Young sent all the messages in an hour-and-a-half period on May 22, violating the terms of the court order. What the nasty texts said was not discussed in court. Read more…
