Life in disaster-hit zones could improve with this multifunctional portable toilet

“Nendo”, a Japanese design firm, was commissioned by a hardware supplier, “Sugita-Ace”, to create a series of kits with the purpose of improving the emergency preparedness in the aftermath of natural disasters.

“minimLET” is the latest kit to be designed for the series and it is a flat-packed DIY toilet kit destined to relieve the victim of such disasters. The kit consists of 6 items that all fit in a compact bag and it includes the toilet seat, aluminum pipes that act both as supporting legs and as a pole for the tent, a tent that can also be used as a poncho, and some tissues and trash bags.
