Loads of delicious cookie dough spilled onto a North Carolina highway

The five-second rule probably doesn’t apply here.

An accident caused a delivery truck to dump loads of cookie dough onto a highway on Tuesday. Over 20 rolling carts spread all over Highway 19 in Wilmington, North Carolina. 

This might be a sweet tooth’s worst nightmare.

Pender EMS & Fire, Inc posted the image on Facebook, telling drivers to expect delays due to the spill. No telling if that meant delays in traffic, or delays in getting cookies.

According to WECT 6 News, emergency officials believed the cause of the accident was the truck’s acceleration after the light turned green, which caused the back door to open, spilling all of the precious cookie dough. Read more…
