Meet ‘Lucas the Spider,’ an unexpectedly adorable animated character

I think we all can agree that spiders are nowhere near “cute” or “lovable,” but this tiny talking fella may change your mind. 

Animator, Joshua Slice, cured our arachnophobia by turning his adorable nephew Lucas into a precious eight-legged arthropod. 

The 20-second short was only a ‘test of a character’ Slice has created but it certainly has crawled right into our hearts. 

Now I might think twice about grabbing a rolled up newspaper the next time I encounter a spider…maybe.  Read more…
