The 91st Academy Awards are just a few weeks away, and if you’re struggling to feel adequately hype, fear not. Netflix is sweeping in with the assist.
The streaming service is adding a new sidebar to its layout, honoring Oscar nominees and winners of days gone by. Older projects, like the 1942 Best Documentary Film winner Prelude to War, are streaming alongside a few of 2019’s nominees — Netflix’s own Roma among them, of course.
At present, the curated collection, titled “Celebrate the Oscars,” includes 69 films for viewers to choose from. However, Netflix plans to keep the feature as a permanent asset, allowing streamers to easily access Academy-honored films years round.
