Parkland survivor David Hogg’s home was swatted in a dangerous prank

David Hogg’s family home was swatted on Tuesday.

Someone called the Broward Sheriff’s Office in Florida on the Parkland survivor’s home, claiming that there was a hostage situation at the house. According to the local ABC affiliate, Coral Springs Fire Rescue arrived to find that the call was a prank. 

“A SWAT team responded and cleared the home,” Broward County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Gina Carter told USA Today. “We are investigating who made the call.”

Hogg and his mom weren’t home — they’re in Washington, D.C. to accept the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights award. He graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Sunday and is touring the country with other Parkland students to advocate for stricter gun control laws. Read more…
