‘Pokémon Go’ adds the AR Snapshot feature you’ve been waiting for

It’s kind of amazing that this feature is only just arriving in Pokémon Go. It seems like such a no-brainer.

“Go Snapshot” is an augmented reality mode that allows you to drop any of your captured Pokémon into the world (as seen on your phone screen) and take a photo like the proud fake creature parent you are. You can even make them strike a pose.

Here’s how Niantic, the studio behind Pokémon Go, describes the photo process in its announcement:
