Trevor Noah roasts Brexit using multiple British accents

TwitterFacebook

Even attempting to understand the ongoing nightmare that is Brexit is nigh on impossible — but Trevor Noah has an analogy that might help.

In The Daily Show clip above, he likens Britain leaving the EU to “the world’s biggest escape the room”, before launching into a range of chaotic British accents to emphasise the confusion.

To be fair, you can’t fault his John Oliver impression. Read more…

New ‘Game of Thrones’ images are all about Daenerys Targaryen

TwitterFacebook

Daenerys Targaryen is ready for Winterfell, alright.

In a new batch of Game of Thrones Season 8 images released by Sky Atlantic, the UK’s show distributor, the Mother of Dragons is adjusting well at the Stark ancestral home.

With only a little over two weeks to go until the HBO drama returns for its final season, these images are providing all the fodder we need to help with our countdown.

However, the focus is clearly on Dany more than any other character. In one, she’s standing with Jorah Mormont in what appears to be Winterfell’s library — a newly constructed set — with a grim face. In another, she’s visibly blushing. Read more…

‘Minecraft’ update removes in-game references to its controversial creator

TwitterFacebook

Microsoft, which owns Minecraft, appears to be distancing itself and Minecraft from its original creator, Markus “Notch” Persson.

The latest Minecraft update to hit the Java version of the game removed a couple of references to Notch that would sometimes appear on the game’s home screen next to the title. Twitter user decrepitlab pointed these changes out on Wednesday. While we don’t know for sure why exactly Notch’s name was taken off the home screen, it’s possible that this move stems from the many questionable things he’s said online over the years.
