The $50 million esports tournament…?

In 2011, ‘Dota 2’ developer Valve created The International, a tournament celebrating professional players and fans alike. The $1.6 million prize pool was unheard of at the time, and since then, a surge of community funding has drastically increased the pot to nearly $25 million in 2017.
