‘The Lego Movie 2’ trailer is here to remind you that everything is not, in fact, awesome

By Feb. 2019 it will have been five long years since directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller unleashed their perfect vision for The Lego Movie into the worldThe Lego Movie: The Second Part shows us what happened next.

The very first trailer for the sequel, directed by Sky High‘s Mike Mitchell, does a few important things: It gives us a look at what went down in Bricksburg following the grim events of Taco Tuesday; it reveals the new… villain(? Honestly, it’s not clear); it teases the inevitable second coming of “Everything is Awesome”; and it reminds us that there is a Chris in this movie. Read more…
