Since outrage erupted over the Trump administration’s practice of separating families at the border, you’ve probably made a decision about how much attention you’ll devote to the humanitarian crisis. 

You may have donated to an organization helping migrants but decided against listening to audio of detained children screaming for their parents. Perhaps you read investigative reporting about migrant children being sent to shelters with histories of abuse but skipped learning about pregnant asylum seekers who miscarried while in government detention.
