Watch a crane drop the large clock face from the top of Purdue University’s bell tower

No matter how bad your week has been, just remember that it’s probably not as bad as this crane operator’s after allowing the giant clock face from Purdue University’s bell tower to tumble to the ground from a great height on Tuesday.

Don’t worry, no one was hurt, including the workers seen on the tower awaiting the clock face’s arrival. The Cincinnati-based Verdin Clock Company, who was handling renovations, gave the Lafayette Journal & Courier the following statement about the incident.

Full Statement from @TheVerdinCo: “We want to express our sincerest apology to Purdue University regarding the damage to their clock. We will continue to work with Purdue University to ensure 100% customer satisfaction by replacing the damaged clock.”
