Who needs Jay-Z when Beyoncé can rap like this?

The voice of Beyoncé has once again made the world stand still.

At the Global Citizen: Mandela 100 festival in Johannesburg, South Africa, commemorating what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday, Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z performed parts of their On The Run II tour. But this was not Beyoncé’s ordinary phantasmagoric explosion of talent: a highlight came when Beyoncé, vocalist of a generation, absolutely murdered her rap verses on the couple’s single, “Apeshit.” 

The festival only broadcast 25 minutes of the performance, but that was plenty of time for Beyoncé to slay us dead with her swagger and bar-spitting. Read more…
