’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 begins with an extended content warning

13 Reasons Why Season 2 is officially here, and the show will be the first to tell viewers that this may not be for them. 

Following backlash against Season 1’s explicit depiction of suicide and content warnings some deemed insufficient, the second season opens with an extended video of the cast warning viewers about the content of their show.

The video features cast members Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Justin Prentice, and Alisha Boe and cuts between them as they explain that their show is not for everyone, especially those dealing with serious issues like the ones addressed in 13 Reasons Why. Read more…
