5 food-inspired sneakers that actually worked

The world of sneakers and the world of food may seem like an odd pairing, but the two can often combine to create some surprisingly great results.

Maybe the most recent example of this was Pizza Hut’s Pie Tops II, which released at the start of last month alongside the men’s NCAA Tournament and gave fans a way to order pizza directly from the tongue of their shoes.

It was a bit of a gimmick, but — minus ridiculous branding — the shoes themselves actually aren’t all that bad. And that’s a sentiment that rings true to most if resale prices are any indication at all.
