Disneyland’s animatronic Ursula lost her head mid-song, and it’s kind of relatable

TwitterFacebook

Seems like Ursula is over her job.

On Sunday, Disney fans were treated to a terrifying — and hilarious — performance at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park. The animatronic Ursula at Ariel’s Undersea Adventure lost her head, but kept singing through the ride.

It’s pretty bad.

What’s next for ‘The Simpsons’ after years of mocking their new owner Disney?

TwitterFacebook

As I’m sure you heard, Disney bought 20th Century Fox for $52 billion today. And I’m sure your first thought was, what does this mean for The Simpsons?

While we don’t know exactly, we will gladly speculate while ruminating on the fact that, for 28 years, the longest-running animated show has dunked on the Big Mouse company over and over again.

While we don’t know about how the show’s new overlords will treat the beloved show, it could very well mean good things for fans.

Another huge thing that Disney bought — besides the right to include X-Men in their Avengers movies — is a hefty share of control over streaming platform Hulu. As we wrote, one of Disney’s main goals for buying the media company would be to compete with Netflix’s and Amazon’s growing influence with its own enormous back catalog. That includes The Simpsons.  Read more…

This new Star Wars experience is as close as you can get to starring in the movies

TwitterFacebook

We can’t all be as lucky as Daisy Ridley and John Boyega — self-professed fans who now get to live out their Star Wars fantasies in real life — but a new “hyper-reality” experience coming to California’s Disneyland and Florida’s Disney World aims to bring us one step closer to our favorite galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire shares some DNA with the beloved Star Tours ride at Disney’s theme parks — which allows us tantalizing glimpses of the many planets introduced in the franchise — but instead of being spectators, safely buckled into a StarSpeeder while chaos erupts around us, Secrets plunks guests in the middle of a mission for the Rebel Alliance, challenging visitors to disguise themselves as Stormtroopers (ideally in groups of three or four) and infiltrate an Imperial base on the hunt for vital intel. Lucky ‘Star Wars’ fans got a surprise visit from Mark Hamill during a tour at Disneyland

TwitterFacebook

When taking a Star Wars tour at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, you expect to see some pretty great things.

You might expect to see some familiar sights, like some kind of Star Wars action set pieces or some Jedi-related memorabilia. But the last thing you might expect to see is Luke Skywalker, himself.

In a Twitter video posted by the StarWars account on Tuesday, Mark Hamill got to make some lucky fans’ day, buy surprising a tour in progress.
