Marshall Speakers are hardly the first third-party manufacturer to hop on the smart speaker bandwagon, but the company’s got a strong case for bringing the best design into the mix. Announced at IFA in Berlin this week, the Acton II and Stanmore II continue the line’s legacy of cribbing heavily from Marshall’s iconic guitar amp […]

Hey look, another new QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry for Kim Kardashian to buy
As decent as the BlackBerry Key 2 is, it’s really not worth spending $650 on when there are better phones like the OnePlus 6 that cost less.
TCL Communications, the company behind the BlackBerry Key series, has heard the cries of the people and has a…
Sennheiser announces $300 wireless earbuds
I suspect $300 wireless earbuds might have been a bit easier to swallow back when the technology was still something of a novelty just a few years ago. Now that these devices are fairly ubiquitous, however, it’s going to be tougher for a company to justify what’s essentially twice the price of a set of […]

When it comes to blocking out all outside noise (especially when you’re flying) Bose’s QuietComfort 35 II and Sony’s 1000XM2 are the two best over-ear noise-cancelling headphones money can buy.

Acer Predator Triton 900 is a 2-in-1 gaming laptop, which is as crazy as it sounds
Have you ever pined for a big, bulky gaming laptop that lets you turn the screen away from you? At its press conference in Berlin ahead of the IFA trade show, Acer launched one such machine and called it the Predator Triton 900.
The Triton 900’s screen is a 4K, Nvidia G-Sync enabled touchscreen fixed on a hinge and can be brought a bit closer to you for a more immersive experience. You can also fully flip it away from you, which Acer calls the “display mode.”

Acer’s latest VR headset sure isn’t compact, but at least it’s mighty powerful.

Europe’s biggest tech show won’t be about phones, and that’s a relief
Internationale Funkausstellung, or IFA, is Europe’s largest trade show for consumer electronics that takes place from Aug. 31 to Sept. 5 in Berlin. And it’s going to be a little different this year.
IFA is not really about phones — it never was. The big phone show is Mobile World Congress in February, and there are tons of brand-specific events throughout the year. But a few major phone makers, including Samsung, LG, and Huawei, often launch big-name phones at IFA, stealing the headlines from the TVs, computers, wearables and tons of other gadgets unveiled there.
Not this year. Samsung already launched its Galaxy Note 9; Huawei will likely launch a new Mate smartphone in October, and word on the street is LG won’t launch a phone at the show, either. Read more…
