It’s been quite the year for “The Queen of Shitty Robots,” Simone Giertz.

The diagnosis and surgery of a non-cancerous brain tumor, and now the return of it, hasn’t made things the easiest for the YouTube star.

While some would want to see the back of their removed tumor, Giertz managed to get a photo of it… in Antarctica. 

After sending it far, far away, Giertz posted the image of the tumor on Twitter, complete with ice shelves in the background.

The “Queen of Shitty Robots” won’t be stopped.

In the six months since the YouTube star and inventor had a large brain tumor that could have left her paralyzed, blind, or a completely different person removed, Simone Giertz moved her workshop out of her house, jumped back into vlogging for her nearly 1.4 million subscribers, gave a TED talk, and kickstarted an electronic calendar — all while rocking a silvery “supervillain scar” that runs down her scalp, flirting with her hairline

As she recovers from brain surgery, Simone Giertz is chronicling her experience with trademark honesty and humor.

The “shitty robots” YouTuber has been tweeting steadily since her procedure in May, even posting a photo of her “super villain scar” a few days after surgery. On Thursday, she posted perhaps her realest update yet.

In true Simone Giertz form, Simone Giertz underwent brain surgery last Wednesday, and she’s already cracking jokes.

The YouTuber and “Shitty Robots” creator, who announced she had a non-malignant brain tumor in April, shared her first post-op photo update on Monday, uploading a picture of her surgical scar to Twitter. 

She captioned the image “super villain scar in the making.”

Giertz has been vocal about her operation on social media, even in the face of a long and arduous recovery process. She even named her tumor Brian and sent it an eviction notice.
