The 4 generations meme is the wholesome energy we want in 2019

TwitterFacebook

2019 is already off to a good start, meme-wise.

Chinese kids are showing off some wholesome family love on TikTok with the four generations meme. Moms, and their moms, and their moms all make an appearance, and it can’t get any cuter.

For the meme, kids call out to their parents, who pop into frame. Their parents call out to the children’s grandparents, who call out to their parents, the children’s great-grandparents.

Cue the most adorable old people grins.

Are you ugly crying? I’m ugly crying.

Peppa Pig videos banned on Chinese social media platform for the weirdest reason

TwitterFacebook

Peppa Pig, the sassy anti-whistling British pig of renown, is stirring up trouble in China. She’s been dubbed a “subversive” figure associated with the gangster lifestyle of young Chinese adults, and banned from a social media platform there.

More than 30,000 videos of Peppa that used the hashtag “#PeppaPig” have reportedly been deleted from the website Douyin (“Tik Tok” in English) because, according to an internal memo obtained by CNN, Peppa was “spreading negative social influence.”
