As great as TVs are today, the audio leaves a lot to be desired. Most speakers are built into the back or bottom of a flatscreen TV, which aren’t ideal locations for quality audio.

CES is usually a hard pass for Apple. Tim Cook and company generally opt to make their announcements at the tech giant’s own Apple events.

LG Electronics must have had something to prove this year at CES because it went over the top with its long, winding, 92-foot-long “OLED Canyon” made up of more than 240 displays.
