People are losing their minds over rare Southern snowstorm

TwitterFacebook

Snow has started to fall in the United States, but not in the places you might expect.

In yet another example of unusual weather this year, the first week of December brought accumulating snow to places like Austin, Texas, Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia — places that rarely ever see several inches of snow, let alone experience a snowstorm before Christmas.

Snow even fell as far south as Corpus Christi, Texas, near the U.S.-Mexico border, where there was at least one instance of “thundersnow” caught on radar.

“Thank you to all the first responders, firefighters, and citizens willing to help fight these California wildfires,” NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik said in a tweet on Thursday.

Today’s pass over SoCal unfortunately doesn’t look any better. The fires east of Camp Pendleton and in Baja are visible as well#CaliforniaWildfires pic.twitter.com/khM9TK1u0F

Not everyone’s able to keep their cool on live TV.

Some people get in front of the camera and just straight up lose their head.

On Tuesday morning, the UK’s Met Office released their forecast for Halloween. See if you can spot all the spooky references they’ve managed to cram in to the following, 27-second video:

Top marks for effort.

We certainly wouldn’t want to be stuck in Spookoway when all that blood rain rolls in.
