Kanye West’s playing the long game — or the large game. 

Earlier this month, Kanye really leaned into the middle-aged dad aesthetic for 2 Chainz’s wedding. On August 18, he arrived at the venue dressed in a suit with no shirt and, like your unperturbed father running an errand on a Sunday morning, wore socks with sandals. 

Kanye got the “helping my mom wit groceries” slides on 😂

Kanye West’s latest sneaker, the Yeezy Mud Rat 500s, are kind of terrible

Ugly sneakers (or Air Grandads as I like to call them) are kind of having a moment right now. 

First Steph Curry released his dad shoes last year. Then, Balenciaga is selling the Triple S trainer monstrosity’s for about $850. And earlier this summer Kanye West released a pair of chunky running shoes called, the Yeezy Wave Runner 700 priced at $300. 

That’s a lot of money for a sneaker that makes you look like a futuristic version of Larry David. 

But now, thanks to Kim Kardashian, we have a look at the newest, grandadiest shoes that Kanye wants to release into the wild: the Yeezy Mud Rat 500. Read more…
