Demi Lovato reportedly hospitalized following drug overdose

Singer Demi Lovato has reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles following a drug overdose, TMZ first reported Tuesday afternoon. 

Lovato, who has a history of struggling with substance abuse, has sought treatment in the past and released a new song, “Sober,” in June.

Lovato was six years sober from cocaine usage when she released “Sober,” in which she sings about the difficulty of staying clean.

The song also apologizes to fans, friends, and at least one ex who witnessed her addiction and difficulty.

TMZ reported that Lovato is currently being treated for “what appears to be” a heroin overdose.  Read more…
