Mariah comes under fire in the latest promo for ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2

The latest trailer for Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 isn’t about bulletproof heroes; it’s about the real queen – Mariah (Alfre Woodard). Mariah and Shades (Theo Rossi) aren’t exactly allies to Luke Cage, and if this promo is any indication, they’re not joining forces without a little fight.

This is the second Luke Cage teaser to highlight women, following a bar fight clip of Colleen (Jessica Henwick) and Misty (Simone Missick) teasing Marvel’s Daughters of the Dragon. 

Marvel TV has always embraced badass women (Jessica Jones, Claire Temple), but it’s exciting to see Luke Cage Season 2 go all-in on this theme (especially when Marvel’s big-screen counterparts have been so much slower on the uptake). Read more…
