Nicki Minaj pledges $25K to ‘Cosby Show’ actor who was job shamed

It’s been an uplifting few days for Geoffrey Owens, The Cosby Show mainstay who was shamed for having a day job at supermarket.

Once devastated about the photos, things have turned around for Owens, after an outpouring of support from other celebrities and the wider public.

On her Beats 1 show Thursday, Queen Radio, Nicki Minaj said she’d be donating $25,000 to Owens, angry at the people who took photos of Owens while he was bagging groceries at work.

“This man is a whole fucking legend,” she said. “Y’all don’t know how difficult it is to keep getting jobs. You don’t know how hard it is to get your first acting job. And you want to put somebody up on the internet?” Read more…
