Powerful videos show ‘Dreamers’ storming Senate office building

It’s been a year since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States and people are still gathering in massive protests.

On Thursday, individuals stormed the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., to shout their pleas for members of Congress to pass a new Dream Act to replace the DACA immigration program Trump ended in September, which impacts nearly 800,000 people who were brought to the U.S. by immigrants.

Though Trump’s administration ended the protection for undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children, known as “dreamers,” congress has the power to step in. It needs to move quickly, however, as the DACA protections expire March 5, 2018. Read more…
