Seth Meyers roasts Republicans over Paul Manafort with a perfect reference to ‘The Office’

Certain Republicans have been busy distancing themselves from Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort after he was sentenced to 47 months in prison for tax and bank fraud.

But Seth Meyers isn’t buying it. On Late Night, Meyers ripped into the Manafort case, using a reference from The Office to describe Republicans’ attitude toward Manafort. 

“Manafort wasn’t a marginal figure in Trump’s orbit, he was the President’s campaign chairman,” Meyers said. “And yet Republicans talk about him like he was assistant to the regional manager.” 

Meyers is of course referencing the made-up title given to Dwight Schrute by Michael Scott in The Office. Read more…
