The BBC Christmas ad will make you burst into tears at your desk

Every year, at the beginning of November, John Lewis starts the Christmas ad season with a tearjerker that leaves an entire country sobbing at their desk at work on a chilly Thursday morning. 

But this year, BBC One has stolen the crown for the most emotional, human, heart-warming advert that humbly promises to make you well up and brining a lump to your throat. 

The clip, a mix of CGI and stop motion called “The Supporting Act”, features a 10-year-old determined girl who practices everywhere — at home, in the shopping mall, in the streets, at the grocery store — night and day, for her school’s Christmas talent show.  Read more…
