The XFL is coming back because time is a flat circle

After weeks of speculation, WWE chairman Vince McMahon announced on Thursday that he’s bringing back his short-lived professional football league, the XFL.

Announced for the 2020 season, McMahon says the new version of the league will “give the game back to the fans,” during an announcement streamed across the platforms belonging to Alpha Entertainment, McMahon’s newest company.

The league will consist of eight teams, made up of 40-player rosters, and play a 10-game regular season which McMahon says will kick off in “late January or early February,” similar to the old XFL calendar. None of the teams have been announced yet and McMahon said, “We’re nowhere near that right now.” Read more…
