In case you somehow managed to miss the news, Love Island is back.

For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, the record-breakingly popular ITV show is essentially a British reality dating series in which a bunch of outrageously chiselled people stay in a villa together and couple off.

It sounds simple — fairly similar to a bunch of other shows, even — but that didn’t stop an average of 2.95 million people tuning in for the first episode of the new series on Monday.
