Too late, Elon Musk’s flamethrowers have sold out

2018’s hottest new toy has sold out.

Elon Musk’s Boring Company $500 flamethrower has certainly been the talk of the internet, but if you were umming and ahhing over whether you should get one, you’re too late.

Musk confirmed via Twitter on Wednesday evening that he has sold all 20,000 flamethrowers available for preorder, only four days after they went on sale. That’s $10 million in flamethrowers.

The flamethrower has faced opposition from one Californian lawmaker, Miguel Santiago, who said he’d bring in state legislation to ban its sale.  Read more…
