Watch an army of floppy disk drives flawlessly play Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

Behold the Floppotron, the mighty army of floppy disk drives and other ancient computer hardware used to make sweet, sweet music. We’ve heard it sing various themes before and now it’s back to serenade us with the Queen classic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The song choice is almost certainly because of the recent Freddy Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody but, really, is there ever a bad time to listen to Queen? (The correct answer is no, there is never a bad time.)

It’s an astoundingly good version, sounding like those great MIDI tunes of the 1990s, very crisp and clear. Not quite as good as the real thing, of course, but impressive nonetheless.  Read more…
