A typical fall scene is one that normally consists of red, yellow, orange, and brown leaves dotted across an entire valley. But the way Utah does fall will totally change the way you think of this season.

In this drone video uploaded by Justin McFarland, you’ll feel like you’re on a fantastic aerial trip inside the Willy Wonka factory —minus the creepy and crazy incidents. The hot pink, dark purple, and soft lavender colors of the trees near the Snowbasin resort in Utah will make you want to book a vacation there immediately to take in the beautiful scenery.

A drone flew over the Fuego volcano’s hellish aftermath in Guatemala. Here’s what it saw.

There’s no question that Guatemala’s Volcán de Fuego is a deadly mountain. Beginning June 3, the volcano sent chaotic avalanches of rock and gas down its sides, and as of June 13 the eruptions had taken 110 lives, with some 200 people still missing. 

Since those initial scorching avalanches — known as pyroclastic flows — local resident Jozef Stano used a drone, which can be operated from more than 4 miles away, to circle the still ominously steaming volcano.

The footage is from June 10, a day that provided Stano a good opportunity to view the eruption’s aftermath.  Read more…

Drone footage of a frozen beach is just as stunning as you’d think

Here’s some beach footage that won’t make you want to put on a swimsuit.

On Sunday, YouTube user Ryan Canty uploaded drone and on-the-ground video of the frozen Old Silver Beach near his grandmother’s home in North Falmouth, Massachusetts. 

Now, despite the videos’ titles — “Entire Ocean Frozen, CRAZY!”— the entire Atlantic Ocean is not actually frozen. Obviously. But the snow and ice does extend pretty far offshore, which makes for an incredibly surreal visual. There are even people walking out there!
