It’s a well-known fact that Nutella is the nectar of the gods.
But, a supermarket discount on this sweet, chocolatey nectar had French shoppers brawling in the aisles. Indeed, local media even went so far as to describe the scene at one supermarket as a “riot.”
It was, if you’ll pardon the pun, completely nuts.
There were fisticuffs in the aisles at Intermarché supermarkets around France after the store offered a 70 percent discount, which brought the price of the hazelnut spread down from €4.50 (£3.93, $5.60) to €1.40 (£1.22, $1.74). Read more…

Facebook has announced it’s expanding a free training program that teaches Internet-skills, media literacy and online safety to Europe. It says its “ambition” is to train 300,000 people across six EU countries by 2020 — specifically in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland. 
More than 270 French startups flew all the way to Las Vegas for CES 2018. And France’s Secretary of State for Digital Affairs Mounir Mahjoubi came there to support them.
