A small group of pediatricians wanted to tackle a question many of us may not think about. Does eating a Lego mess up our bodies at all? They actually ate some pieces and tracked how long it took them to poop it out. If you have kids who like eating e…

Lego’s new 6,020-piece Harry Potter Hogwarts set is spellbinding
Lego announced its new (and enormous) 6,020-piece Hogwarts Castle set Wednesday that is sure to delight and overwhelm Harry Potter heads everywhere.
The back of the massive buildable Hogwarts Castle — just over 22-inches tall and 27-inches wide, according to a press release from Lego — gives builders access to the potions classroom, Chamber of Secrets, and the Great Hall, among other nooks and crannies of the castle.
Hagrid’s hut and the whomping willow are also a part of the expansive set, in addition to 27 “microfigures” that include Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, five dementors, a basilisk, and Aragog the spider. Read more…

Lego’s human-size model of Aquaman, a.k.a. actor Jason Momoa, is here to break hearts with his mighty trident.
Behold, the great sea warrior…rendered in the form of thousands of tiny plastic bricks.
The 150-pound model — inspired by the upcoming DC Entertainment film based off the classic DC comic — debuted at San Diego Comic Con on Wednesday. According to a spokesperson for the toy company, the Lego master builders spent 190 hours imagining and constructing the model, which is made from 30,450 individual bricks. Read more…

Bluntly, I’m jealous of the toys of today, and Lego has managed to stoke that sentiment with its latest. The toy giant’s motorized DC Super Heroes Batmobile is part of the Lego’s Powered Up line, and it’s super cool.
The App-Controlled Lego Batmobile set will be landing on Aug. 1 for $99. And while it is only a 321-piece set, included in the box are the two twin motors and the battery pack.
Unlike Lego’s powered-up train set, you don’t build a controller out of Lego. The Batmobile will use Bluetooth to connect to an iOS or Android device, with a dedicated app (coming out when it launches). The app doesn’t just provide basic controls — you can also “code” in moves for the vehicle. Read more…

You can never be too old to take a drone to the sky — it inspires a sense of awe no balloon ever could. The feeling of building something from scratch is a great joy, especially when you can zoom 50-75 meters off the ground with a 2.4 GHz transmitter that allows for long-range flight control. The Force Flyers’ six-axis gyro, three hundred and sixty degrees stunt flips and auto-stabilization allow for any flyer of any skill level and age to handle this drone with ease. Read more…
