Brilliant Girl Scout sells Samoas with the help of shirtless Jason Momoa

TwitterFacebook

A brilliant Girl Scout knows her customers very well — what sells better than shirtless superheroes and clever puns?

Look, the free market is tough, and when every other kid in your school is also hawking their sugar-laden wares, you have to do whatever it takes to stand out. From setting up shop in front of cannabis dispensaries to getting the attention of Childish Gambino himself, few are more business savvy than Girl Scouts.

Fifth grader Charlotte Holmberg took her marketing strategy to a whole new level by slapping a very shirtless Jason Momoa onto the iconic Samoa boxes. Rebranding them as “Momoas,” Jason Momoa smolders back at you from behind the caramel-covered coconut-dusted cookies.  Read more…

Henry Cavill loved ‘Aquaman’ so much he went for a swim with a fork

TwitterFacebook

While Henry Cavill’s first look as Geralt in the TV adaptation of The Witcher video game did not go down well, his Aquaman impression can stay.

The Justice League star posted a congratulatory Instagram to his superhero co-star Jason Momoa by channeling his box-office smash Aquaman

Cavill, who’s usually seen donning a cape as Superman in the DC Extended Universe films, instead took to a body of water — in what weirdly looks like the dead of night — capeless, Lycra-less, and wielding a fork as a trident.

“Channeling the man of the hour, the man of big hugs, big laughs and big pints of Guinness, my man Jason Momoa. How’d I do?” he captioned the post. Read more…

Mixed reviews reveal critics can’t quite agree on ‘Aquaman’

TwitterFacebook

“Like its hero, it’s the kind of film that surveys the strangeness in front of it, flashes a smile, and dives right in. And if it stays in the water a bit too long—well, I’d still come back for a sequel.”

Critics like Mashable’s Angie Han concede that Aquaman isn’t without its barnacles, but contend the flick is at least worth the price of admission. Others are denouncing the DC Comics’ tentpole as an irrefutable, outright flop.

The Jason Momoa and Amber Heard-starring adventure tackles the origin story of the Justice League’s trident-wielding hero, taking viewers into the seven kingdoms of Atlantis and entrenching them in ocean-dwelling politics. Read more…

Elf on the Shelf witnesses puberty firsthand in hilarious ‘SNL’ sketch

TwitterFacebook

Elf on the Shelf is always keeping its eyes on kids to see if they’re being naughty or nice around Christmas, and unfortunately that doesn’t stop when kids hit puberty.

Scrabby the elf, played by host Jason Momoa, has been watching Marshall for 13 years, and now he wants a new kid to watch over because Marshall has learned something new he can do with his body, a “solo activity,” according to Scrabby. It’s not exactly a naughty or nice activity.

The worst part is, Scrabby can’t physically look away — Elves on Shelves don’t even blink — and Marshall sometimes looks at Scrabby during the act. Read more…

‘Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa challenges Jimmy Fallon to some casual trident throwing
