There’s a Pokémon movie coming to theaters for only four days
Pokémon: The Power of Us — a sequel to 2017’s Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! — is making a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in U.S. theaters right around Thanksgiving. Here’s a new trailer to get you in the mood.
The movie will screen Nov. 24, Nov. 26, Nov. 28, and Dec. 1 in a limited number of theaters, with theater locations and tickets available through the Fathom Events website. Read more…

Something new is happening in Pokémon Go.
A mysterious critter has appeared in the game, and it’s something Pokémon fans have never seen before. It was first discovered when a programming-savvy fan found an image and a reference to “Pokémon 891” in the game’s code.
The newcomer has the body of a sheet-covered ghost and a nut — the hardware, not the legume — for a head, with one eye staring out of its central hole. It doesn’t have a name and no one’s been able to catch one (not exactly), but it’s definitely appearing in the game now. Read more…

Gotta watch ’em all: Twitch is running a huge ongoing Pokémon marathon
Clear your schedule, Pokémon fans, because an absolute truckload of it is coming to Twitch.
The social streaming service is set to run a Pokémon marathon featuring 16 movies and 19 TV seasons spanning a colossal 932 episodes.
It’ll be Twitch’s single longest programmatic viewing event to date, following marathons for the likes of Doctor Who, Saturday Night Live, and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, to name a few.
But you won’t have to say farewell to the outside world for this one — the episodes and films will be streamed over a few different marathons kicking off at 10 a.m. PT on August 27 and rolling into 2019. Read more…
