Robin’s robotic mowers now have a patented doggie door just for them

Back in 2016 we had Robin up on stage demonstrating the possibility of a robotic mower as a service rather than just something you buy. They’re still going strong, and just introduced and patented what seems in retrospect a pretty obvious idea: an automatic door for the mower to go through fences between front and back yards.

There are a lot of bad superhero costumes out there. This is not one of them. 

Warner Brothers has released a first look at Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, in DC’s upcoming Titans show.  

And this look … isn’t awful?

Okay, color us intrigued

Titans will feature Robin as the head of a team of upcoming heroes. They come from all walks of the DC universe and deal with fighting crime, while also handling the trials of young adulthood. 

Past members have included Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Cyborg — freshly famous from Justice League

There have been comics and TV shows that follow this team, but now they’re getting their own show on DC’s yet-to-be-named streaming service some time next year. Read more…

Robin goes all in on robotic lawn care and focuses on franchising

 Robin, which pitched a combined “Uber for lawn care” and robotic-lawnmower-as-a-service at Disrupt SF’s Startup Battlefield last year, is making some big changes. It quietly sold the first part to Porch earlier this year, and is now focused on expanding the robot service nationwide via a franchising plan. (And they’re going to be on Shark Tank.) Read More
