‘Deadpool 2’ poster hilariously channels… ‘Flashdance’?!

Reynolds reference to Flashdance in Deadpool 2‘s latest poster could just be a cute visual riff. Orrrrr… it could be a nod to the unexpected success of Flashdance, a critically reviled 1983 film that turned into a box office smash, and the third-highest grossing release of that year.

Sort of like a little R-rated superhero production called Deadpool, released in early 2016 — a time of year when movies are usually sent to die. The first Deadpool finished the year in the #6 spot in the box office, earning more than $783 million worldwide. Read more…
