James Gunn joins ‘Suicide Squad 2’

Former Marvel company man James Gunn is joining the DC family.

Gunn has been set to write Suicide Squad 2 for Warner Bros., as reported by THR and others Tuesday, and could also be in the running to direct.

At Disney, Gunn helmed both Guardians of the Galaxy movies. He was on board to make the third when he was fired in July after a bad faith campaign against him resurfaced a series of old tweets in which he had joked about pedophilia, rape, and other ugly topics. 

As of yet, no replacement director has been announced for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Read more…
