Want to make your own gourmet Skittles? Good luck. It seems almost impossible.

Claire Saffitz, pastry chef and senior food editor at Bon Appétit, attempts to make her own version of the iconic treat in a new video on the magazine’s YouTube channel. After several attempts (and several weeks), she finally creates a candy that seems super spot-on — at least according to her coworkers’ reviews.
