Michelle Obama joins Laura Bush in taking on Trump’s immigration policy

Former first lady Michelle Obama just weighed in on the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, and she’s calling on members of all parties to wake up and take action.

Over the course of a six-week period, nearly 2,000 children have been separated from their parents at the border due to strict immigration policies. Now, immigrants who cross the border, including refugees seeking asylum, must be detained, which means their children are taken from their custody and sent to detention centers.
