Carl Grimes’ final episode on The Walking Dead aired Sunday night and the character’s devastating and surprising death was too much for most fans to handle.

After a months-long build up to the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead, fans were given an extra-long and touching tribute to Carl (Chandler Riggs), a staple of the series since the first season, who was shockingly bit by a zombie in December’s mid-season finale.
