Wonder Woman, Pennywise, and more get their Oscars moment in hilarious Lonely Island song

The Academy may have forgotten about 2017’s most beloved blockbusters, but the Lonely Island sure hasn’t.

The comedy pop trio has released a demo for a never-used Oscars song that pays respect to some of last year’s under-awarded hits, including Thor: Ragnarok, Wonder Woman, It, and Girls Trip.

There’s even a shoutout to Hollywood’s best Chrises, which is how you know they’re tuned into the popular culture of our time. 

As the group explained on Twitter, they’d been asked to write a song for this year’s ceremony, only to be told that “Why Not Me?” was too expensive and logistically complicated.  Read more…
